1. What you need

• WhatsApp on your phone, using your own number.
• A SoidPay account. You'll be asked to verify your identity once, using your BVN, as the law requires for financial services.
• A funded wallet. You pay from your SoidPay wallet balance, so add money first (step 2).
• The phone number you want to top up, which can be yours or someone else's.

2. Open your SoidPay chat

Start from the official link on soidpay.com so you know you are talking to the real SoidPay. Everything happens inside that one conversation.

Menu options and wording may change as SoidPay grows. Follow whatever you see in the chat, and use the steps below as a guide to the flow.

3. Fund your wallet

When you open an account, you get a dedicated account number for funding your wallet. To top up:

1. Ask SoidPay for your funding details, or find them in the chat.
2. Open your bank app and make a bank transfer to that account number.
3. Wait for SoidPay to confirm that your wallet has been credited. This usually happens soon after the bank confirms the payment, but delays can happen on the bank's side.

4. Buy airtime

1. Tell SoidPay you want airtime. Choose the airtime option or say what you want.
2. Enter the phone number to top up. Check every digit.
3. Pick the network and amount if asked.
4. Review the summary. It shows the number, the amount and any fee, before you confirm.
5. Approve with your PIN on the secure screen (see step 6).
6. Wait for the confirmation in the chat. Airtime is delivered by the mobile network, normally within moments.

5. Buy mobile data

Buying data follows the same pattern:

1. Choose the data option.
2. Enter the phone number to receive the data.
3. Pick a data plan from the choices shown. Plans and prices come from the network, so what you see in the chat is what is currently on offer.
4. Review the summary, including any fee, and confirm.
5. Approve with your PIN on the secure screen and wait for the confirmation.

If you're topping up someone else's line, check that the number belongs to the person you mean, and that the network matches.

6. Approve with your PIN, safely

SoidPay asks for your PIN on a secure PIN screen that opens inside WhatsApp. That is the only place to enter it.

• Never type your PIN into an ordinary chat message. SoidPay will not ask you to.
• Never share your PIN or any one-time code (OTP) with anyone, including someone claiming to work for SoidPay.
• Your PIN is stored in a protected form that SoidPay cannot read, so staff can never tell you what it is.
• If you forget it, you can reset it with a one-time code sent to your registered phone number, together with an identity check.

7. After you pay

You should see a confirmation in the chat and your wallet balance should drop by the amount you spent, plus any fee.

• If a purchase fails and money left your wallet, SoidPay aims to reverse it or refund you within 24 to 48 hours of the failure being confirmed.
• If airtime or data was delivered, it generally cannot be refunded, even if the number was entered wrongly. That is why the number check in step 4 matters.
• If a purchase is only partly delivered, contact support so it can be completed or refunded.

8. Tips to avoid mistakes

• Read the number back digit by digit before you confirm.
• Check the amount and the fee on the summary, not just the airtime or data value.
• Keep a little extra in your wallet so a transaction isn't declined for low balance.
• Turn on your phone's screen lock, and use WhatsApp's own two-step verification.
• Keep your WhatsApp number active. SoidPay is tied to it.

9. Stay safe from scams

Scammers copy trusted brands. Remember these rules:

• SoidPay will never ask for your PIN, OTP or password in a chat or call.
• Be wary of anyone who rushes you, offers "free data" or "double your money", or sends you a different account number to pay into.
• Start from soidpay.com and use only your own SoidPay chat.
• If you lose your phone or SIM, or see a transaction you didn't make, contact SoidPay straight away.
